Our Story, From Performance Machines to Perfect Brews

We’re Rob and Kelly, founders of Biker’s Brew, a coffee roaster and wholesaler rooted in Cornwall. But before coffee, our world ran on horsepower. As specialist motorcycle engineers, we built a reputation for high-performance tuning, bespoke packages, and working on everything from custom builds to British Superbike machines.

Rob spent years fine-tuning superbikes at the highest level, delivering precision and power for both race teams and riders across the UK.

Kelly brought her eye for design and creativity - shaping branding, custom detailing, and later, everything from our labels to this website.

That same level of care, craft, and grit now goes into every roast of Biker’s Brew. Born from the spirit of independence and a love of quality, we built this brand to reflect the lifestyle we live: hands-on, no shortcuts, and all heart.

We’re proud to call Cornwall home. Our families have lived, worked, and contributed to Cornish life for over 1,200 years - a deep heritage we carry with pride. That sense of identity and integrity runs through everything we do, from supporting local cafés and small businesses to working with ethical suppliers who care about quality and people.

We partner with independent Cornish retailers and café owners who not only serve our coffee but often use espresso machines we’ve supplied, installed, and maintain ourselves. Rob and Kelly are both trained directly by leading espresso machine manufacturers, ensuring every machine we work on is engineered to the highest standards.

Coffee with Backbone

"Biker’s Brew was never meant to be just another coffee brand. We roast with intent, choosing beans that are bold, smooth, and full of character. We believe good coffee should stand for something. For us, it’s craftsmanship, independence, and a drive to do things the right way, not the easy way."

"Everything you see from the roast profiles to the packaging is created and run by us. Small batch, hands-on, and proudly Cornish.

This is coffee with backbone. And we’re just getting started."

Craft, Character, and Cornish Grit

But our story, and our identity, goes deeper than just coffee or motorcycles. It’s rooted in a long line of Cornish makers, workers, and creators, each with their own legacy of craft and resilience. The same spirit that drives Biker’s Brew today.

We’re proud of the people we come from. Their stories shape who we are and why we do what we do.

Kellys granfer Peter, master stonemason, co-carved a 26-ton Grizzly Bear in Belgian fossil marble, commissioned by PepsiCo for their sculpture park in New York and carved the memorial stone at London Bridge’s opening for Queen Elizabeth II

Great uncle Barney helped load the granite plinth for the statue of Winston Churchill in Parliament Square, cut and carved from a Cornish quarry.

Great gran Emma ran her own tea and grocery store at the Jamaica Inn from 1921, a rare feat for a woman of her time!

Great grandad Alan, mine captain at Wheal Uni during the 1920s, went on to command mines in Malaysia, protected them during WWII, evaded POW capture, and returned home to contribute to the Cornish munitions effort.

Gramps Denzil, was a pillar of the Redruth arts community, publishing books and albums celebrating the town’s amateur operatic society, even continuing to train choirs in retirement.

These are the kinds of stories that define Cornish pride: craftsmanship, courage, and quiet strength. That heritage lives on in every part of Biker’s Brew, from the coffee we roast to the people we support.
